ON this date in 1963, John F. Kennedy was assassinated. That shocking event changed the history of our country, and the world, in ways we can only begin to understand now. JFK was planning to get us out of VietNam. Just that act alone would have altered the course of the world forever. But his enemies couldn't let JFK do the things he wanted to do...was it organized crime? Fidel Castro? the "military industrial complex" that JFK's predecessor had warned about, that had him killed? Probably we'll never know for sure.
What we do know is that millions are still affected by his memory. Here are a few JFK t-shirts and other items available out there on the web. All are affectionate, I would never show an anti-JFK item on this blog. (As always, click the image to go to the site where it's available.) The first one says "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."
