Say NO to Offshore Drilling

George Bush and his oil cronies have been pushing hard for offshore drilling all their oily lives, and particularly in the last few days. Yesterday Bush lifted the presidential moratorium on offshore drilling that his father had initiated and Bill Clinton had continued.

Environmentalists, and I'm one of them, say that offshore drilling is unnecessary and harmful to our coastlines and the fragile life that lives there. Even California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger opposes the effort, and released a statement Monday supporting the ban.

"I know people are frustrated with the soaring price of gas, and I welcome the national debate on solutions to lower our energy costs, but in California we know offshore drilling is not the answer," he said.

Please join in spreading the word that offshore drilling should not be an option.
