The Tragedy of the Gulf Oil Spill
Anyone who tells you that the Gulf oil spill is "Obama's Katrina" is sorely misinformed. This spill is, in fact, yet another legacy of the failed Bush-Cheney administration. Check out this article from veteranstoday.com. And more importantly, read this article from the New Republic, and pay attention to this sentence:
"What we do know is that unfettered oil drilling was to Dick Cheney’s domestic concerns what the invasion of Iraq was to his foreign policy—a core objective, implacably pursued regardless of the risks."
The title of that article is "Forget Offshore Drilling Until We Get Some Answers", and we couldn't agree more.
Let's put our money into wind energy, wave energy, solar energy, and other futuristic forms of renewable energy that don't kill our wildlife, and ultimately our people.
