Why do I feel badly about posting some of these admittedly humorous t-shirt designs? I shouldn't. Anthony Weiner did what he did, and t-shirt designers do what they do. Sarah Palin Rewrites American History...Paul Revere Rolls Over

Revisionist history? Paul Revere rang a bell? sent warning shots? warned the British?
Here is what Sarah Palin said about Paul Revere's famous ride:
"He who warned, uh, the British that they weren't gonna be takin' away our arms, uh, by ringing those bells, and um, makin' sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed."

What really happened:
Paul Revere did tell the British about armed colonial militiamen — after his ride through the countryside to warn patriots that the British army was coming -- he was captured and held at gunpoint. According to “Paul Revere’s Ride” by David Hackett Fischer, Revere was trying to lead his captors away from Lexington (where Sam Adams and John Hancock were hidden) by saying that danger awaited them there.
