The Room: Worst Movie of all Time?

The Room: the best worst movie ever?
Over the last five years, a new cult film has emerged. When someone thinks "cult film," they think of films that weren't hugely successful but have a devoted following that can't be ignored. Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Big Lebowski and Plan 9 from Outer Space are just a few that immediately come to mind. A movie that can now be added to those ranks is The Room. Read more...

Health Care Reform NOW

I don't know what the hell is going on in Washington DC, regarding health care reform. All I know is that average Americans, like myself, deserve decent health care at affordable costs. Here are a few statistics I found on the website HealthCareProblems.org
* Nearly 50 million Americans do not have health insurance, while another 25 million are underinsured.
* The amount people pay for health insurance increased 30 percent from 2001 to 2005, while income for the same period of time only increased 3 percent, as reported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
* The typical family health insurance plan costs $12,000 a year or more.
* Healthcare expenditures in the United States exceed $2 trillion a year. In comparison, the federal budget is $3 trillion a year.
* The number of people who are underinsured has grown 60 percent to 25 million over the past four years.
* Approximately 50 percent of personal bankruptcies are due to medical expenses.

So what's holding up reform? You tell me. Didn't we elect Barack Obama and didn't we sweep a bulletproof majority into Congress to TAKE CARE OF THIS ISSUE?

I don't know about you but I'm sick of the dicking around. Obviously the President is doing everything he can to get health care reform, but he's being blocked by frightened, weak members of Congress. It's going to fall to us, the PEOPLE, to stand with our president and DEMAND health care reform NOW!

The Eagle Has Landed Apollo 11 t-shirts

July 20, 1969 will always be one of those "where were you when...." moments for anyone who was alive then. It was the day Neil Armstrong walked on the Moon, on behalf of all humankind, for the first time. According to Wikipedia:

"The Apollo 11 mission was the first manned mission to land on the Moon. It was the fifth human spaceflight of Project Apollo and the third human voyage to the Moon. Launched on July 16, 1969, it carried Mission Commander Neil Alden Armstrong, Command Module Pilot Michael Collins, and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin Eugene 'Buzz' Aldrin, Jr. On July 20, Armstrong and Aldrin became the first humans to walk on the Moon, while Collins orbited above."

Here are some t shirts and posters that commemorate that monumental achievement.

No T shirts today, just GREAT airfares

Airfares and vacation packages are just so darn cheap right now, that if you can scrape together a few hundred dollars you can probably take a vacay like you never dreamed possible. I've been getting a lot of offers in my inbox, and I'll share some of them with you here.

Malia Obama Rocks a Peace T-shirt

The New York Post called it "Woodstock Chic".

Malia Obama was photographed yesterday in Rome, where her father was attending the G-8 summit. Her t-shirt of choice sported a huge peace sign. Well, technically, it's known as the CND symbol, which stands for Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. We love it, we think it's entirely appropriate for her to wear, and we found some t-shirts on the web that will give you a similar look.
