As consumers, we all leave a carbon footprint. But the new news about global warming, and especially about the ice shelves that are crumbling is pretty frightening. It's almost too late for us to save this planet as a habitable place for our children, grandchildren and on. We must act NOW to make some major changes, and those changes must be widespread. Here, then are some ways you can make changes, without hardship, that will help save our delicate planet. Reduce your impact on global warming, and save money by shopping at places committed to green products. One such is ChangeforGreen , which has good prices on everything from low flow shower heads to those ecofriendly light bulbs.
I know, I know, there was an opening "night" game last night (Phillies lost), but opening day is in the daytime! There's a full roster of games today, with twelve games scheduled, starting in Cincinnati where the Mets will visit. Later, AL Cy Young winner Cliff Lee and the Cleveland Indians will watch former President George W. Bush throw out the first ball in Texas (and I'll bet he gets booed even in Texas!). The AL champion Rays are in Boston against Josh Beckett and the Red Sox. At night, Manny Ramirez begins his first full year in LA when the Dodgers open at San Diego. Likely snow, cold and wind in Chicago forced postponement of the game between KC and the White Sox. They'll try again Tuesday.
But for now...celebrate Opening Day with baseball t-shirts! Click images to learn more or to buy the t-shirt for your favorite baseball team!
Sorry about the crappy size on this t-shirt, I wish Buy.com gave me better thumbnails. But it's a Ken Griffey Jr shirt with his number 24 on it. Junior's back in Seattle!
