Gratitude and Gratefulness shop - inspirational and motivational gifts
You may not have thought of it, but many small businesses are online only. The folks who sell crafts at etsy, many of the shopkeepers of Zazzle and Cafepress, independent artists who run small businesses out of their homes and maintain a web presence, are just as deserving of your consumer dollars as any other bricks-and-mortar shop. So if you're in the mood to relax and shop from the convenience of your own home, here is a list of small home-based businesses offering unique gifts you won't find at the mall.
I've preselected these so you can be assured they are (1) safe to click on, and (2) legitimate small businesses.
CurryPlum - Asian furnishings, decor, film, art, books, jewelry and apparel.
Studio Metzger - logo wear, custom t-shirts & merchandise

You can also help victims of Hurricane Sandy while you shop at Zazzle, the online t-shirt store. Here are some t-shirt designs that were created specifically to raise funds, and according to Zazzle, "All of the gross profits (including commissions that would ordinarily be paid to sellers) from sales of products that are tagged “hurricanesupport” will be donated directly to nonprofit organizations who are funding the relief and recovery efforts."
