Notes from a Designer: Disney Princess Costumes

Here's my sob story. When I was a kid, we had to create our own costumes out of whatever we could find around the house. Whether it was that my parents wanted us to be creative, or they didn't want to waste money on costumes (I think that was it), I ended up using cardboard boxes, old sheets, and crap I found in the basement, to make costumes. Most of them were pretty unsuccessful, but what the heck they still got me some candy at the end of the day! Nowadays, what little girl doesn't want to be a Disney princess? If I had a daughter, I think I would indulge her.
