Everyone Loves Betty White!

We aren't old enough to remember Betty White's early TV days (who is?), but apparently she starred in a TV series called Life with Elizabeth, back in the day. And we do remember her in the Mary Tyler Moore Show, where she was often the most interesting and acerbic character on the screen. We of course remember her in Golden Girls, as the ditzy gal from St. Olaf Minnesota. Her Rose Nylund was, if you think about it, multilayered and highly entertaining.

Apparently, since her comedic role in a Snickers ad during the Super Bowl, fans have been urging her to take her turn. In fact, one fan even went so far as to set up a Facebook page promoting the cause, which has attracted near half a million fans.

According to CNN.com, "Entertainment Weekly said she might appear on a special "Women of Comedy" episode with former "SNL" cast members Molly Shannon, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler." But White hasn't confirmed details, and reports to People that she's not quite sure what to expect. Read more...
We love Betty White! She's so much more than just a former "Golden Girl". The Q Guide to the Golden Girls Her story goes way back to the 1940s and 50s. According to Wikipedia, she had a radio show in 1949!
But we all know her best for her roles on the Mary Tyler Moore Show, as the Happy Homemaker, Sueann Nivens. Man, was she hysterical on that show!
And as the dimwitted but loveable Rose Nylund on "The Golden Girls" she's unforgettable!
