Larry Craig t-shirts, Larry Craig humor

Senator Larry Craig of Idaho pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after his arrest earlier this summer in a Minneapolis airport men's room. Oh dear. What is it with politicians, especially Republican ones? They seem to be overgrown bad little boys who like to take risks, and frankly, are hypocrites. Larry Craig has long opposed gay rights, gay marriage, and once famously said (during the Lewinsky affair) that “Bill Clinton is a bad boy, a naughty boy, even a nasty bad boy.” One wonders if it gave him a thrill to use those provocative words in public.

That said, I have no sympathy for hypocrites, and have no problem with anyone who can make a buck off Larry Craig humor.

I'll put up more as I find them. If you have a funny Larry Craig t-shirt, please email me!

US Open Tennis T-shirts

Ah the US Open...tennis, autumn, New York, Jimmy Connors...oops! Jimmy hasn't played for a few years! But when he was a fixture in the tennis world, he owned the Open, even when he didn't win. Americans are always wildly cheered at this most American of tournaments, but my money is on Swiss legend Roger Federer, the most dominant player of the day. Here are some t-shirts you can buy to celebrate this end-of-summer tourney. First up, a couple of my favorite tees from the Official US Open Shop (click on either one to go to the main shop page, where you can choose your favorite):

And a few more generic tennis tees:

Remembering Princess Diana

It was 10 years ago this week - August 31, 2007 - that Diana, Princess of Wales, was killed in an auto accident in Paris, France. It was one of those "always remember where you were" moments globally. This week there will be memorials galore, including one in London (to which Camilla has recently announced she's changed her mind and won't attend). The mementos are legion, too. I'll deviate from "just t-shirts" for this one, since there are also dolls, DVDs, books, commemorative magazines, tile boxes, and plenty more merchandise that can be had in the name of remembering Princess Diana.

Remembering September 11 with 9-11 t-shirts

September 11 is Patriot Day in the United States, designated in memory of the nearly three thousand who died in the September 11, 2001 attacks. While it is referred to as a "discretionary day of rememberance", we think it is important to remember all the victims, the firefighters, the police, the ordinary citizens going about the business of living, and their families. Here are some of our favorite Patriot Day tees and Remember September 11 t-shirts you can wear to show your respect, remembrance, and patriotism. Mostly from Cafepress, they run anywhere from $1.99 for a small button to $25 for a dark t-shirt. Value tees run about half that.
