According to no less an authority than the New York Times, AT&T May Have Swayed ‘Idol’ Results . Basically, AT&T provided "phones for free text-messaging services and lessons in casting blocks of votes at parties organized by fans of Kris Allen, the Arkansas singer who was the winner of the show last week."

The paper goes on to add that "There appear to have been no similar efforts to provide free texting services to supporters of Adam Lambert, who finished as the runner-up to Mr. Allen."
I still think it works out best for Adam that he came in second, but something really stinks here. I had heard there were huge numbers of votes coming from Arkansas, a state with a population of about 2.7 million. I'd love to see how many votes actually came from that state.

We're of two minds about Adam Lambert's not winning (we're not going to say he lost, because he surely didn't!) as many votes as Kris Allen on American Idol. On the one hand, it's pretty evident America isn't ready for someone as unique, quirky and creative as Adam (and gay, yes) no matter how talented, and that's too bad. On the other hand, as the second-place vote getter, he's got more freedom to get out there and do everything he's capable of - cut some fantastic records, do Broadway, revitalize rock and roll. We voted for him all season, as many times as we could, and if you did too, here's a t shirt just for you!

9 million people watched the Farrah Fawcett documentary chronicling her cancer journey, and now Ryan O'Neal has said there will be a second show. Fawcett, 62, was diagnosed in 2006 with anal cancer that has spread to her liver. It isn't known for sure how long she has to live.

Dick Cheney and Karl Rove - Shame

So the guy who spent almost 8 years in an Undisclosed Location has suddenly decided he needs to be all over the airwaves criticizing the current administration's policies, defending his own administration's decisions to torture (yes, let's be clear - waterboarding IS torture), and declaring that he'd rather follow the aptly named Rush Limbaugh than former Joint Chiefs chairman and secretary of state Colin Powell. And Karl Rove, master of dissembling, is accusing Nancy Pelosi of lying.

These two need to just curl up and crawl back in the undisclosed hole we sent them to on November 4.

Miss California Hypocrite

I rarely give an opinion in this blog, since it's about showcasing t shirts, but I'm currently listening to Miss California, Carrie Prejean, defending herself against that "hateful" (her word) Perez Hilton and his "attacks" on her purity. Gag me!!! This woman seems to me to be the epitome not only of stupid (anyone notice her grammatical errors?) but of what makes "beauty pageants" irrelevant and barbarian.
What kind of person poses for (nearly) nude photos and then has the gall to judge anyone else's morals?
She just said she's a representative of her generation. What generation is that, the 1940s? Give me a break. I'm going to showcase some pro gay marriage t shirts today just because I can't stand this woman so much.
